I was contracted by Vastera to make improvements on the Restricted Party Matching application. This was a part time contract. All work was done remotely via dial-in RAS and VPN. The improvements included:

• Parameterization of name subset matching.

• Changes to the external interface to provide additional information about the reasons for successful matches.

• Development of new algorithms for address matching. Address matching was already part of the application, but existed only in a "stub" manner as the budget had not previously been allocated for development of address matching.

• The development of the address matching enhancements also required development of several component matching algorithms.
